Christian Business Development Agency

Transforming lives through business development for persecuted Christians throughout the world.

Peter was a bank manager in Baghdad before violence and persecution forced him to flee The vision of CBDA (Christian Business Development Agency) is to help elevate an under-class of persecuted Christians out of cultural and institutionally contrived poverty.

Peter (left) was a bank manager in Baghdad before violence and persecution forced him to flee to the Nahla Valley in northern Iraq.
Now, with the help of Open Doors, he has a new life as a fruit farmer. Open Doors was able to provide him with apple trees from the Netherlands. Now he wants to diversify his crops and grow figs, apricots and kiwi.

The CBDA is developing sustainable business models in regions and areas of the world where there is severe opposition to the Christian Gospel and all that it stands for. Its aim is to stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters in acts of brotherly love. By developing CBDA projects and delivering practical support in a number of target regions, CBDA aims to provide sustainable income and a holistic range of support for persecuted Christians. We do this through financial support and also through the knowledge and expertise of our CBDA members who have something more to give.

Initially CBDA aims to create a range of local hubs in the UK that contribute towards a sustainable investment fund from which CBDA can create a programme of grants and loans. These will contribute to Socio-Economic Development (SED) projects globally, working in liaison with Open Doors International. Our aim is also to build a knowledge bank of help and support that will enable new businesses to fly.

With just a little guidance, Socio-Economic Development can change the lives of persecuted Christians and through investing in the CBDA, its members can be part of an amazing solution that will transform the lives of thousands of persecuted Christians.
