Events Volunteer

Could you stand in the gap for persecuted Christians? Events volunteers help us to reach out to the Christian community, sharing the stories of persecuted Christians, through festivals like Spring Harvest, New Wine and other key events. We are looking for people with a passion for sharing about persecuted Christians to join our volunteer teams at events for one day, for a week - or on a more regular basis. Whether it's talking to people on the stand, serving tea and coffee in an Open Doors cafe, stewarding in a venue, or helping behind the scenes, you can make a difference in the lives of Christians all over the world.

Your part:

  • Commit to help at a particular event (subject to availability) in one or more of the following tasks:
    • Welcoming and stewarding an Open Doors event
    • Representing the ministry of Open Doors on an exhibition stand
    • Running an Open Doors cafe and engaging in conversations about Open Doors.
  • Attend a pre-event briefing day for Events volunteers.
  • Have a servant attitude and bucket-loads of enthusiasm and energy!

Our part:

  • Ensure that the task you do is appropriate to your skills and gifting.
  • Provide essential briefing and hands on training.
  • Keep you updated with future events where you can volunteer.
  • Opportunities to develop and engage in other areas of our ministry.
  • To provide delegate entrance fees, accommodation, meals and appropriate travel expenses.
